My Type of Dog

My Type of Dog

I have always loved mongrels. Pooches or mutts are names to describe a dog of mixed breed or origin, not a favourite in this status-driven cash flash concert city. Puppies are eventually dumped because they wee and poo all day and grow too big for the family to handle (yes just like human babies animals also grow to be adult animals) or the family dog gets old with a chronic medical condition.

MONGRELS = dog of no definable type or breed, other animal or plant resulting from the crossing of different breeds or types.

When people ask me what type of dogs I have I say they are a very special highly prized local breed. Usually of Chow origin.

They are the most problem-free and low-maintenance dogs to care for. Generally sweet natured and easy going with no particular health problems that pedigrees tend to have due to over breeding.

If you are looking for a mongrel to share your life, check out the centers below.

There is a wide range of lovely dogs of all sizes, colour and age that need a loving home:

  • LAP (Lifelong Animal Protection)
  • HKDR (Hong Kong Dog Rescue)
  • Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation
  • Catherine’s Puppies

I love all dogs but mongrels are best!
